Kilimanjaro Day Hike

Our one day hike of Mt. Kilimanjaro will take you from the glades at the Lemosho Gate at 6,900 ft up to Lemosho Forest Camp at 8,700 ft. This is a beautiful 2-3 hour hike up through the lush rainforest where you may see Buffalo and Colobus Monkey.  You will be escorted by a knowledgeable guide who will point out the different species of plants and animals. Once we reach Lemosho Forest Camp we will take a break and eat the provided lunch before returning to the Lemosho Trailhead. After a day of hiking, we will return you by private vehicle to your hotel in Moshi.

The Lemosho route is regarded as one of the prettiest routes on Kilimanjaro. The route begins from the west, trekking in the fertile rainforest until it reaches the wildflowers of the Moorland ecosystem. It cross one of most beautiful areas on Kilimanjaro, the Shira Plateau, before traversing the mountain along the southern circuit.
